Description
Power, hangtime and SLS agility
Duotone's high-performance all-rounder for sporty riders. Its SLS construction with Penta TX and Trinity TX makes it light, stiff and very reactive; the improved 6-point bridle stabilises the tips for more precise turning, and the adjusted front lines lengthen the bar throw for extra control and safety.
SLS construction · Sizes 7 – 12 m · Wind 10 – 38 knots · With Flex Struts

“The Evo SLS sets a benchmark in high-performance versatility. With its explosive power and precise control it doesn't just excel at hangtime and jumping: it also handles smoothly in gusty wind. The combination of strength and lightness in its SLS construction lets me push the limits with confidence and style like never before.”
Technology and construction
- SLS (Strong Light Superior) construction: Duotone's range for maximum performance: it combines Penta TX and Trinity TX for a strong, light and durable frame.
- Flex Struts: flexible struts between the centre strut and the tip struts. They combine the agility of a three-strut kite with the stiffness of a five-strut kite: bar inputs turn into steering smoothly and quickly.
- Penta TX frame: leading edge and centre strut fabric that replaces Dacron: 15% less weight, five times more tear resistance and 50% less elongation. You feel it in a more precise feel, especially in strong wind.
- Modern trailing edge design: narrower trailing edge and a lighter material mix to reduce wear and achieve a cleaner profile.
- Anti Snag: anti-snag tape on the tips that stops the lines wrapping around the tip; it makes relaunching from the water easier and increases safety.
- Kook Proof Connectors: foolproof line connection points: it's impossible to connect the lines wrongly when rigging the kite.
The Evo SLS 2025 on the water
Which one to choose?
- Evo SLS 2027: the current generation: it drops the Flex Strut, uses thinner, stiffer struts with higher inflation pressure and adds 5 and 6 m sizes. Choose it if you want the latest in reactivity.
- Evo SLS 2026: keeps the Flex Struts, but with sharper tips that turn faster and a cleaner bar feel than the 2025.
- Evo 2026: the original Evo, without SLS construction: more forgiving and easier, ideal if you're just out of lessons.
- Evo D/LAB 2027: the lightest and stiffest version of the family, with an Aluula D/TX frame, for riders seeking maximum performance.
Pair it with: the Click Bar Quad Control 2027 (the most complete, with trim on the bar) or the Trust Bar Quad Control 2027 (simpler), and the Jaime SLS 2027 twintip for jumping and freeride.
Frequently asked questions
Which size of Evo SLS 2025 do I need?+
It depends on your weight, your board and your usual wind. As a guide, the official table gives the 9 m from 14 to 34 knots and the 12 m from 10 to 27 knots; a two-kite quiver (for example 9 and 12 m) covers most days. Write to us with your weight and your spot and we'll recommend sizes.
How does it differ from the Evo SLS 2027?+
The 2027 does without the Flex Strut, uses thinner, stiffer struts with higher inflation pressure and adds 5 and 6 m sizes. The 2025 keeps the Flex Struts, which give it smooth turning and a very direct feel.
Is it suitable for someone who has just finished lessons?+
It is designed for sporty riders. If you've just finished your lessons, the Evo 2026 is more forgiving; if you already ride confidently and want to start jumping, the Evo SLS will stay with you for a long time.
Which bar and lines do I need?+
It works with the Duotone Click Bar and Trust Bar Quad Control bars. Duotone recommends 22 m lines and an S bar from 7 to 9 m, and 24 m lines and an M bar from 10 to 12 m.
What are the tip settings for?+
With the different setting positions on the tips you can make the kite turn faster or slower and have more or less bar pressure, to suit your style.
