Description
Jump, turn and keep it easy
Duotone's high-performance all-round kite for freeride, jumping and waves. The 2027 version drops the Flex Strut and uses thinner, stiffer struts with higher inflation pressure: powerful vertical take-offs, long hangtime and fast turning even when fully loaded, without losing its intuitive handling.
SLS construction · Sizes 5 – 13 m · Wind 9 – 38 knots · No Flex Strut
Who it's for
- Progressing riders, from fresh out of lessons to advanced, who want one kite for a wide range of conditions.
- Anyone looking to jump high with plenty of hangtime without a demanding kite.
- Freeriders sailing in gusty wind who want predictable control and depower.
- Riders who mix twintip, waves on a directional and the odd kiteloop.
What makes it special
01 All-round for progressing riders
A versatile design for freeride, jumping and waves in all kinds of conditions.
02 Explosive take-off
The stiff SLS frame and refined canopy profile give a fast climb and powerful vertical take-offs.
03 Hangtime for tricks
More shape stability and cleaner airflow: it floats longer and with more control in the air.
04 Control in any condition
Progressive bar pressure and higher canopy tension keep it stable and predictable when you're overpowered.
05 Precise under load
Thin, stiff struts replace the Flex Strut: less unwanted flex, fast turning and precise control with the kite loaded up.
06 Instant response
Higher inflation pressure gives a stiffer frame with a lighter feel and direct steering.
Where it shines: gusty freeride, intermediate to advanced jumping and big air, kiteloops and waves on a directional.

“The Evo SLS gives you the confidence to ride in everything. It jumps incredibly well, reacts really fast, loops smoothly and stays intuitive and easy to control in any condition.”
Technology and construction
- SLS construction (Strong Light Superior): Duotone's maximum-performance range; a stiff, light frame that reacts faster.
- Thin, stiff struts, no Flex Strut: the frame deforms less under load and keeps turning fast and precise.
- Higher inflation pressure: up to 8-9 PSI according to Duotone, for a stiffer, more direct frame feel. Always inflate to the pressure printed on the kite.
- Progressive bar pressure: the load builds smoothly and predictably, even in gusts.
- Higher canopy tension: a more stable profile and cleaner airflow to climb fast and float longer.
- Concept Blue version: the Evo SLS Concept Blue 2027 flies the same, with undyed fabric, a bio-based bladder and recycled polymer parts.
The Evo SLS 2027 on the water
Which one to choose?
- Evo D/LAB 2027: the lightest, stiffest version of the family, with a thinner leading edge. For demanding riders chasing maximum performance; the SLS is more affordable and a little easier to ride.
- Evo SLS 2026: the previous model, now reduced. With Flex Strut and no 5 or 6 m sizes; a good option if you mostly freeride and want to spend less.
- Rebel SLS 2027: more focused on big air and high jumps. Pick the Evo if you want a more versatile kite.
- Dice SLS 2027: more agile and playful, aimed at freestyle and waves.
Pair it with: the Click Bar Quad Control 2027 (the most complete, with on-bar trim) or the Trust Bar Quad Control 2027 (simpler), and the Jaime SLS 2027 twintip for jumping and freeride.
Frequently asked questions
What size Evo SLS do I need?+
It depends on your weight, your board and your usual wind. As a reference, the official chart gives the 9 m 14 to 34 knots and the 12 m 10 to 27 knots; a two-kite quiver (for example 9 and 12 m) covers most days. Send us your weight and your spot and we'll recommend sizes.
What's new compared with the Evo SLS 2026?+
The Flex Strut is gone, the struts are thinner and stiffer, the inflation pressure goes up and 5 and 6 m sizes arrive. We go through every change in Evo SLS 2027: what's new compared with 2026.
Is it suitable for someone who has just finished lessons?+
Yes. Duotone describes it as an all-rounder for progressing riders: it has progressive bar pressure and predictable handling, and it won't hold you back once you start jumping.
Which bar and lines do I need?+
It works with the Duotone Click Bar and Trust Bar Quad Control. Duotone recommends 22 m lines and an S bar for 7 to 9 m, and 24 m lines and an M bar for 10 to 13 m.
Does the Concept Blue fly differently?+
No. It behaves exactly the same; only the materials change: undyed fabric, a bio-based bladder and recycled polymer parts.
