WHO IT'S FOR

Who it's for

  • Advanced riders who want the lightest, stiffest and most precise Evo.
  • Big air lovers looking for explosive take-offs and long hangtime.
  • Anyone riding in light wind who wants to get planing sooner and accelerate quickly.
  • Riders who combine freeride, loops, freestyle and waves with a single kite.
KEY FEATURES

What makes it special

01 Top-performance all-rounder

High-level freeride, big air and freestyle brought together in an ultra-refined kite.

02 Explosive take-off and effortless big air

The stiff, efficient Aluula D/TX frame generates powerful vertical lift, huge hangtime and intuitive take-offs.

03 Ultra-direct steering and dynamic handling

Its light, exceptionally stiff frame responds instantly and with very precise control.

04 Top-end stability and enormous wind range

The frame's stiffness and fine-tuned canopy tension keep it stable and predictable when you're overpowered.

05 Power and efficiency in light wind

Its efficient profile gets planing early, accelerates quickly and performs very well in light wind.

06 Aluula D/TX construction

Duotone's most advanced frame technology: unmatched stiffness, agility and response.

Where it shines: big air and high jumps, high-level freeride, kiteloops, freestyle and waves.

“The Evo D/LAB is the ultimate high-performance all-rounder. It jumps massively, loops fast, is very reactive and still stays intuitive for having fun in the waves and freeriding.”

TECHNOLOGY

Technology and construction

  • Aluula D/TX frame: material developed together with Duotone that combines very low weight with exceptional stiffness. It performs just as well in light wind as in big air and allows the frame's flex, torsion and stiffness to be fine-tuned in detail.
  • Trinity TX: Duotone's exclusive canopy fabric, developed with Teijin. Its 3x2 weave is more durable and responds better than 2x2 or 4x4 fabrics.
  • MOD 3S: canopy reinforcement fabric with triple the tear resistance and much less stretch than previous generations, so the kite keeps its shape in demanding conditions.
  • 6-point bridle: supports the frame and keeps the leading edge stable and compact; it delivers power smoothly and directly, extends the usable wind range and gives stability in strong gusts.
  • Fusion Strut 2.0: joins the leading edge and struts in a single connection: maximum stability and precise, dynamic flight even in tough conditions.
  • Leading edge intersegment seam: increases the frame's strength, stiffness and flight stability with the lightest construction possible.
  • High-pressure closure and seams: closures and joints between segments that hold the kite's shape even at extreme pressures, prevent deformation and ensure constant airflow.
  • Single Stitch trailing edge: trailing edge with a single seam: less weight, less flutter and a cleaner, more aerodynamic profile that extends the kite's life.
  • Micro Loop Connections: connections 40 % smaller than usual to take weight off the leading edge.
  • Micro Batten Construction: canopy battens 40 % lighter: less weight and a cleaner finish without sacrificing durability or performance.
  • Anti Snag: anti-snag tape on the tips that stops the lines wrapping around the tip; makes relaunching from the water easier and improves safety.
  • Kook Proof Connectors: foolproof line connection points: it's impossible to connect the lines wrongly when setting up the kite.

COMPARE

Which one to choose?

  • Evo SLS 2027: the same all-round philosophy with SLS and Penta TX construction: a little more weight and very intuitive handling. Ideal if you don't need maximum performance.
  • Evo D/LAB 2026: the previous generation, with an Aluula frame and Trinity TX: just as light and powerful in light wind.
  • Rebel SLS 2027: more specialised in big air and high jumping. Choose the Evo D/LAB if you want a more versatile kite.

Pair it with: the Click Bar Quad Control 2027 (the most complete, with trim on the bar) or the Trust Bar Quad Control 2027 (simpler), and the Jaime SLS 2027 twintip for jumping and freeride.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

What size Evo D/LAB 2027 do I need?+

It depends on your weight, your board and your usual wind. As a guide, the official chart gives the 9 m 13 to 35 knots and the 12 m 9 to 28 knots; thanks to its wide range, a two-kite quiver covers almost every day. Drop us a line with your weight and your spot and we'll recommend sizes.

What's changed compared with the Evo D/LAB 2026?+

The main change is the three-strut Aluula D/TX frame, developed together with Duotone, which gives more stiffness and an even more direct response. The official wind ranges stay the same.

What's the difference from the Evo SLS 2027?+

Both are high-performance all-rounders. The D/LAB is lighter and stiffer, performs better in light wind and responds faster; the SLS is a little heavier and very intuitive.

What bar and lines do I need?+

It works with the Duotone Click Bar and Trust Bar Quad Control. Duotone recommends 22 m lines and an S bar for 6 to 9 m, and 24 m lines and an M bar for 10 to 13 m.

Is it for me if I'm still progressing?+

It's a very reactive kite designed for demanding riders. If you're still progressing, the Evo SLS 2027 or the Evo 2026 are more forgiving.
