Description
Easy, reliable and for any conditions
The original Evo has been Duotone's benchmark all-rounder for years: it performs in all kinds of conditions and for every level. The 2026 version turns more smoothly and quickly, with no flutter at the wingtips, and the new seam between segments increases stiffness for a more direct bar feel without losing its comfortable handling and progressive power.

“The Evo is the kite I trust in any conditions. It's very intuitive, jumps effortlessly and always behaves predictably, whether I'm cruising, jumping or pushing a bit harder.”
Technology and construction
- Single Stitch trailing edge: a trailing edge with a single seam: less weight, less flutter and a cleaner, more aerodynamic profile that extends the kite's life.
- Leading edge intersegment seam: increases the frame's strength, stiffness and flight stability with the lightest construction possible.
- MOD 3S: canopy reinforcement fabric with three times the tear resistance and much less stretch than previous generations, so the kite keeps its shape in demanding conditions.
- Micro Loop Connections: connections 40% smaller than usual to take weight off the leading edge.
- Micro Batten Construction: canopy battens 40% lighter: less weight and a cleaner finish without losing durability or performance.
The Evo 2026 on the water
Which one to choose?
- Evo SLS 2027: the sporty version with SLS construction: stiffer, more reactive and poppier. Choose it if you already ride confidently and want more performance.
- Evo SLS 2026: also with SLS construction and Flex Struts: more direct and faster-turning than the original Evo.
- Neo 2027: wave specialist, with lots of drift and depowered turning. Choose the Evo if you want one kite for everything.
Pair it with: the Click Bar Quad Control 2027 (the most complete, with trim on the bar) or the Trust Bar Quad Control 2027 (simpler), and the Select SLS 2027 for freeride.
Frequently asked questions
What size Evo 2026 do I need?+
It depends on your weight, your board and your usual wind. As a guide, the official chart gives the 9 m 15 to 33 knots and the 12 m 11 to 26 knots; a two-kite quiver (for example 9 and 12 m) covers most days. Drop us a line with your weight and your spot and we'll recommend sizes.
Is it suitable for someone who has just finished a course?+
Yes. Duotone designs it for every level: intuitive handling, smooth power and easy jumps to progress quickly, and it keeps performing as you improve.
How does it differ from the Evo SLS?+
The Evo SLS uses the stiffer, lighter SLS construction, with a faster response and more explosive jumps. The original Evo is more comfortable and forgiving.
What's new on the Evo 2026?+
It turns more smoothly with no flutter at the wingtips, and the seam between segments gives it more stiffness and a more direct bar feel. We cover it in detail in Duotone Evo 2026: the benchmark all-round kite.
What bar and lines do I need?+
It works with Duotone's Click Bar and Trust Bar Quad Control. Duotone recommends 22 m lines and an S bar for the 5 to 9 m, and 24 m lines and an M bar for the 10 to 13 m.
