Description
Perfect drift for surfing the wave
The Session v2 is Airush's wave kite for those who want a versatile kite that also performs in strapless and freeride. Its profile has a fairly fine entry so it moves forward in the window when needed, while the sheeting angle, aspect ratio and large tips make it pivot on the spot and drift towards the back of the window when you're surfing the wave. The v3 pulley bridles give it a huge wind range and keep it steering while you release the bar.
Originals construction · v3 pulley bridles · Sizes 4 – 14 m · From 7 to over 40 knots

What makes it special
01 Performance surf, strapless and freeride
A kite designed for the wave that doesn't forget strapless or freeride: all in a single model.
02 Perfect drift, agile turning and easy jumps
It pivots on the spot and drops back towards the back of the window when you surf, and still has the power to jump effortlessly.
03 v3 pulley bridle
Maximum depower and wind range. The kite keeps turning while you release the bar, ideal for powered transitions, top turns on the wave or strapless.
Where it shines: all kinds of waves, strapless, powered transitions and open-sea freeride.

Which one to choose?
- Ultra v5: a single strut, lighter and with more power in light wind. Better if you combine waves with foiling.
- Lithium v14: the versatile freeride kite, more stable and easier for jumping and riding a twintip.
- Ultra Team DS v5: double-skin Team Series construction, the lightest option for light wind.
Pair it with: the Magnum Control System v2 bar and a surfboard such as the Airush Amp v6 Reflex Glass, the OS-1 Team Reflex Carbon or the Cypher v4 Reflex Glass.
Frequently asked questions
What size Session v2 do I need?+
For around 75 kg, the 9 m covers 14 to 33 knots and the 7 m 16 to 36 knots, a very common wave quiver. The 12 m is for lighter days. If you're heavier, go up a size.
Is it good for strapless?+
Yes. The v3 pulley bridles keep it steering while you release the bar and the kite drifts towards the back of the window, exactly what you need to surf without straps.
What changes in the v2?+
According to Airush, the v2 was updated mainly in construction and bridles: the Session Originals now uses only v3 pulley bridles and leaves the Load Frame for the Team version.
Can it be used with a twintip?+
Yes, Airush also designs it for performance freeride and it jumps effortlessly. If you're going to ride mostly on a twintip, the Lithium is more versatile.
Which bar do I need?+
A 4-line bar: 48 cm up to the 9 m and 48 to 55 cm from the 10 to the 14 m. The kite is sold on its own.
