The Cypher V4 is Airush's board for riding fast, jumping and freestyle, with or without straps. A flatter rocker, compact outline and parallel rails give it stability at high speed, and the single to double concave keeps the surf feel while smoothing out choppy water. Compared with the V3 it is half as thick and debuts the Reflex Glass construction with a high-density PET sandwich, tougher and with the same flex.

Technology and construction
- High-density PET sandwich: multi-layer skin on deck and base that withstands impacts and deformation, light and more reactive.
- Lightweight fused EPS core: works with the outer skin to reduce weight and give that light feel of Airush boards.
- High-reactivity glass laminate: multi-layer glass with reinforcements in the areas of highest impact or torsion, which spread the load to the outer skin.
- Rocker: flatter in the tail and centre, medium in the nose: speed and stability.
- Outline: medium tail, wide point in the centre and wide nose.
- Single to double concave: surf grip and a smoother ride in choppy water.
- Full deck pad: grip across the whole deck for riding strapless from day one.
- Futures boxes: according to Airush, all its directional boards are compatible with Futures fins.
- Ecoboard: Airush develops its directional board range with Sustainable Surf following the Ecoboard criteria: a lower carbon footprint, recycled or renewable materials and less toxic processes.

Which one to choose?
- Cypher V3 Reflex Wood: the previous version, in wood and thicker (2.1–2.3", 21.5–26.5 L): it floats more and planes earlier in light wind.
- Amp v6 Reflex Glass: Airush's all-round board, with a more curved outline for surfing the wave.
- Amp Team v6 Reflex Carbon: the Amp in carbon, lighter, for small waves and strapless.

Frequently asked questions
Which Cypher V4 size should I choose?+
Airush doesn't publish weight ranges. The 4'10" is the most compact and the 5'2" has the most surface area. The brand recommends riding the Cypher about 4" shorter than the Amp you would use.
Why does it have so little volume?+
Airush made it half as thick as the V3 (1") to gain performance: you ride closer to the water and feel the board better. In exchange it floats less than a thick board.
What's included?+
The board with a full deck pad. Fins are not included; the boxes are Futures compatible.
Can it be used with straps?+
Yes, Airush offers it with the option of straps in an offset position, although it is designed mainly for riding strapless.
How does it differ from the Cypher V3?+
The V4 is glass with a PET sandwich and is 1" thick; the V3 is wood, measures 2.1–2.3" and has almost double the volume.
