Description

BIG AIR · KITELOOPS

Take off easily, fly further and land softly

The TRIGGER TEC is F-ONE's Big Air kite designed by Ralf Grösel, with a five-strut frame and DLE 140 material. It is stable, efficient and tough, with slightly smoother flight than the Brainchild version: power comes on progressively and the bar throw is longer, so sending big jumps and kiteloops and landing softly is easier for everyone.

5 struts · High aspect ratio · DLE 140 material · One-pump inflation system · 6 to 12 m² · Colours Black / Flame and Black / Mint

WHO IT'S FOR

Who it's for

  • Riders who want to step up to Big Air with a kite that makes take-off easy and is forgiving on landing.
  • Those looking to send their first kiteloops, or perfect them, with controlled power.
  • Intermediate to advanced riders who prefer progressive behaviour to the more technical response of the Brainchild version.
KEY FEATURES

What makes it special

01 Accessible, intuitive Big Air

Designed by Ralf Grösel so any rider can jump high without having to overthink every move.

02 High aspect ratio and 5 struts

A longer, narrower profile supported by five struts: immediate response when you sheet in and power as soon as you need it.

03 Hang time and vertical lift

Effortless take-off, great hang time and a second lift that catches you after every trick.

04 Intuitive handling and jumping

Light bar pressure and direct steering: you always know where the kite is, even without looking at it.

05 Total confidence in kiteloops

It turns with just the right amount of pull so you dare to go for ever more committed loops.

06 One-pump inflation

The one-pump inflation system speeds up rigging and makes deflating easier at the end of the session.

Where it shines: Big Air, kiteloops and powerful freeride in medium and strong wind; with the larger sizes, also on lighter wind days.

*Weight of the kite only. Official F-ONE data. The 14 m² size that may appear in the selector is not listed in F-ONE's official chart: ask us for its specs. If you are between two sizes, the smaller one will give you more control in gusts and the larger one more power in light wind; you'll find more help in our guide to choosing your kite size. TECHNOLOGY

Technology and construction

  • 5 struts: give the canopy maximum support and keep the profile stable as the wind picks up, with more control at low angles of attack.
  • High aspect ratio: a slightly longer, narrower profile that flies faster and sits closer to the edge of the wind window.
  • DLE 140: inflatable frame material that provides stability, efficiency and durability.
  • Canopy engineering: panel and fabric layout designed so the canopy does not deform under load.
  • Automatic relaunch: the kite comes out of the water quickly and with just the right amount of pull.
  • Reactor valve: high-flow connection that locks by twisting the pump hose; very fast inflation and deflation at the push of a button.

COMPARE

Which one to choose?

  • Trigger Brainchild: the lighter, more radical version, with Brainchild materials and a 7-point bridle; more height and hang time, but slightly more technical handling.
  • Banger QuadX: three struts and a QuadX leading edge; more versatile and easier for combining freeride and Big Air in the same session.
  • Bandit Brainchild: high-performance freeride for all disciplines; better if you give equal priority to riding and jumping.

Pair it with: the Atom Bar SK99 or Atom Bar, the Spark Carbon twintip and the Max Flow Pump.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Trigger TEC or Trigger Brainchild?+

Both are five-strut Big Air kites designed by Ralf Grösel. The TEC is more progressive and more forgiving, with smooth power delivery and a longer bar throw; the Brainchild is lighter and gets the most height, but demands more technical handling.

Is it suitable for learning to jump?+

Yes. F-ONE designed it so that both riders sending their first jumps and those perfecting their loops can progress with confidence, thanks to its easy take-off and soft landing.

Which bar do I need?+

F-ONE recommends a 45 cm bar for sizes 6 to 10 m² and a 52 cm bar for the 11 and 12 m². The Atom Bar lets you switch between the two lengths without tools.

What is the advantage of one-pump inflation?+

You inflate the whole kite from a single valve, so you rig up sooner and deflate in seconds at the end of the session.
