Description
Turn up the volume on every jump
The BANGER QuadX comes from the work of Charles Brodel, six-time kite foil world champion. It is a three-strut kite designed for all conditions and levels, but where it really shines is Big Air: very vertical lift, plenty of hang time and a soft landing with no need to downloop. The QuadX leading edge makes it very stiff and stable in strong gusts without adding weight, which widens its range of use.
3 struts · QuadX leading edge · 6-point fixed bridles · 5 to 12 m² · Onyx and Lilac colours
Who it's for
- Riders looking for big jumps, kiteloops and rotations with a kite that is forgiving and easy to read.
- Anyone who wants a single versatile kite for freeride and Big Air, from medium wind to very strong conditions.
- Intermediate to expert riders who value progressive depower and consistent bar feel.
What makes it special
01 Versatile and fearsome in Big Air
Very vertical lift, plenty of hang time and a second lift that allows big jumps and soft landings without having to downloop.
02 Stiff and light
The QuadX leading edge and optimised material distribution give it huge stiffness without loading it with weight, so it handles gusts and keeps flying in marginal wind.
03 Stable in any condition
It repositions itself in the window: in light wind it regains power, and with more wind it moves smoothly towards the edge without jerking. It forgives mistakes and lets you ride relaxed.
04 Fixed bridles, direct connection
The six-point fixed bridles balance support and handling: immediate response, progressive depower and power delivery that is easy to anticipate when jumping.
05 Consistent bar feel
You always know where the kite is, which gives you the confidence to go for jumps, kiteloops and rotations.
06 Every size, optimised
Each size is tuned to its wind range: the larger sizes stand out in light wind and the smaller ones shine in strong conditions for Big Air and loops.
Where it shines: Big Air, kiteloops and freeride in medium and strong wind; with the larger sizes, also on lighter-wind days.

*Weight of the kite only. Official F-ONE data. If you are between two sizes, the smaller one will give you more control in gusts and the larger one more power in marginal wind; you'll find more help in our guide to choosing your kite size. Technology and construction
- QuadX Composite: laminated fabric developed by F-ONE for the leading edge, with high mechanical stiffness and greater durability.
- HT80: high-tenacity double ripstop polyester in the canopy; it resists stretching and tearing and keeps the profile stable over time.
- 3 struts: a balance between stability and reactivity, the basis of its versatility.
- Delta C Shape: F-ONE's patented design that maximises the canopy's aerodynamic performance and depower.
- Canopy engineering: panel and seam layout designed so the profile doesn't deform under load.
- Staggered seams: they spread the trailing edge tension so the seams don't distort the profile.
- Fixed bridles: direct connection with the kite and immediate response at the bar.
- Automatic relaunch: the kite comes out of the water quickly and with just the right amount of pull.
Banger QuadX on the water
Which one to choose?
- Trigger Brainchild: F-ONE's most radical take on pure Big Air; if you only want to jump and are after maximum height, this is the alternative.
- Trigger TEC: Big Air with a simpler construction; less depower and drift than the Banger, but very good upwind and for lift.
- Bandit Brainchild: high-performance freeride with more drift and better relaunch; a better choice if you give riding and jumping equal priority.
Pair it with: the Atom Bar SK99 or Atom Bar control bar, the Spark Carbon twintip and the Max Flow Pump.
Frequently asked questions
Is it only for expert riders?+
No. F-ONE designed it for all levels: it is stable, repositions itself in the window and forgives mistakes. Even so, it is at its best with riders who already ride confidently and want to start jumping seriously.
What does QuadX bring to the leading edge?+
More stiffness with less weight. The kite deforms less in gusts, responds faster to the bar and, being lighter, flies better in marginal wind, which widens the range of each size.
Which bar do I need?+
F-ONE recommends a 45 cm bar for the 5 to 10 m² sizes and a 52 cm bar for the 12 m². The Atom Bar lets you switch between lengths without tools.
Banger or Trigger?+
The Banger is more versatile and easier to handle, with more depower and stability for all kinds of sessions. The Trigger is more focused on pure Big Air. If you want a single kite for both jumping and riding, the Banger is the better fit.
