Description
Higher, longer hang time, softer landings
The new TRIGGER Brainchild builds on its predecessor's identity and goes further: higher jumps, more time in the air, less bar pressure and more comfort and control across the whole wind range. Designed by Ralf Grösel and developed at the Brainchild factory, it debuts a softer canopy fabric, inherited from the Bandit Brainchild, and a new bridle geometry with 7 attachment points.
5 struts · High aspect ratio · 7-point bridle · Brainchild technologies · 5 to 12 m² · Plasma colour
Who it's for
- Big Air riders looking for maximum height and hang time in their jumps.
- Anyone who wants a powerful yet accessible kite that stays easy to control in strong wind or fully depowered.
- Intermediate to expert riders who value the lightness and precision of Brainchild materials.
What makes it special
01 Designed by Ralf Grösel
Developed at the Brainchild factory with all its cutting-edge technologies, without losing F-ONE's DNA.
02 High aspect ratio and 5 struts
Instant response when you sheet in: the kite accelerates into the wind for powerful take-offs.
03 Softer canopy fabric
More time in the air, much improved second lift and a progressive descent that makes landings softer.
04 Lighter bar pressure
Intuitive handling and the same feel in every size, thanks to a consistently tuned range.
05 Redesigned 7-point bridle
Fixed bridle on one side and an extra centre attachment: more stability, higher jumps and precise control even when depowered, with a longer depower stroke.
Where it shines: Big Air and high jumps in medium to strong wind; the larger sizes keep the lift going on lighter-wind days.

Technology and construction
- High aspect ratio: a slightly longer, narrower profile that flies faster and sits closer to the edge of the wind window.
- Tufflite: Dacron fabric with exceptional qualities that allows kites to be both stiff and manoeuvrable.
- Pro Weld: patented welding process developed by Ralf Grösel himself.
- Brainchild valve: wide, eco-friendly one-pump inflation system that ensures good airflow and fast inflation.
- F-ONE pulleys: exclusive and moulded in a single piece, with unrivalled resistance to ageing and abrasion.
- Digital printing: Brainchild's own process that prints the fabrics using only Eco Solvent ink and uses four times less water than dyed fabrics.
- Automatic relaunch: the kite comes out of the water quickly and with just the right amount of pull.
Trigger Brainchild on the water
Which one to choose?
- Trigger TEC: the five-strut Big Air kite with DLE 140 construction; more progressive and easier to ride, with a longer bar stroke.
- Trigger V2 by Brainchild: the previous generation, still with some sizes in store; the new one flies with more hang time, less bar pressure and softer landings.
- Banger QuadX: three struts and a QuadX leading edge; more versatile if you combine freeride and Big Air.
Pair it with: the Atom Bar SK99 or Atom Bar, the Spark Carbon twintip, the Max Flow Pump and the Brainchild pump adapter.
Frequently asked questions
What's changed from the previous Trigger Brainchild?+
A softer canopy fabric, a redesigned bridle with 7 attachment points and a range tuned so every size feels the same. The result: more time in the air, better second lift, less bar pressure and softer landings.
Is it only for expert riders?+
No. F-ONE describes it as an accessible, powerful Big Air kite; its comfortable, predictable behaviour gives confidence to riders of various levels, although it's at its best with riders who already jump confidently.
What bar do I need?+
F-ONE recommends a 45 cm bar for the 5 to 10 m² sizes and a 52 cm bar for the 11 and 12 m². The Atom Bar lets you switch between the two widths without tools.
Do I need an adapter to inflate the kite?+
It has a Brainchild valve. If your pump doesn't have the right nozzle, the Brainchild pump adapter lets you inflate it without any problems.
