Description
More speed, more glide
Experience the freedom of downwind with the ROCKET SUP DW PRO. It shares the new shape of the Rocket SUP DW, but is narrower (17'' to 20''): it trades a little ease of use for speed and glide, and performs brilliantly with smaller, faster foils. It is very stable thanks to its volume distribution, parallel outline and very square rails in the middle. This version features the ultralight Bamboo Deck Construction.
Bamboo Deck Construction · Double-step hull · Twin Tracks · 7'0 to 8'2 · 90 to 140 L
Who it's for
- Experienced downwind riders looking for more speed and glide.
- Anyone riding short- and medium-period swells, like those in the Mediterranean.
- Riders who also want a board for winging in light wind or for small waves.
What makes it special
01 Refined shape: more glide and easier take-offs
Ideal volume distribution, parallel outline and very square rails in the middle: lots of glide, easy paddling and a revised nose and bottom for a more forgiving take-off.
02 Narrow design for more speed and performance
Between 17'' and 20'' wide: exceptional performance with smaller, faster foils.
03 Intuitive, stable and comfortable
Once on the foil it is easy to pump and turn; the high tail kick and the double-step hull reduce drag when accelerating and when touching down.
04 Controlled front/back balance
The recessed cockpit-style deck, now more pronounced, adds volume front and back and brings you closer to the foil for better board control in flight.
05 For experienced downwind riders
It trades some ease of use compared with the Rocket SUP DW for more speed and glide.
06 In bamboo or carbon
This is the bamboo version: a bamboo layer on the deck only, very light and tough. Slightly less stiff when pumping than the carbon one, but with very similar potential on the water: same shape and programme.
Where it shines: Downwind in short- and medium-period swells, flat water, light-wind winging and small waves.

Official F-ONE data (length x width). All sizes have a handle. F-ONE has not yet published the weight of these boards. As it is a narrow board, if you're unsure between two sizes the larger one will give you more stability for paddling and take-off. Check the selector for the sizes available in store.
Technology and construction
- Bamboo Deck Construction: a bamboo layer on the deck only: a construction optimised to make the board as light as possible without losing strength or durability, with a very direct foil feel.
- Rail protection: double rail protector and reinforcements along the rails and next to the standing area, against knocks and paddle impacts.
- Breathable Valve: a valve that automatically regulates the board's internal pressure with changes in temperature, air travel, hours in the sun or altitude.
- Twin Tracks: double foil tracks with 90 mm spacing, one of the market standards: compatible with most foils.
Rocket SUP DW Pro on the water
Which one to choose?
- Rocket SUP DW Pro Carbon: same shape in carbon, stiffer when pumping.
- Rocket SUP DW: wider and more accessible, ideal for getting started in downwind.
- Rocket SUP DW Comp Carbon: longer and narrower, for long swells and racing.
Pair it with: a complete large-area foil such as the Plane Gravity or, if you're after more speed, the Plane Eagle X; if you also use it with a wing, the Strike 6.
Frequently asked questions
Bamboo or carbon Pro?+
They have the same shape and programme. The carbon one is stiffer, especially when pumping; the bamboo one is slightly less stiff but with very similar potential on the water.
Pro or Comp?+
According to F-ONE, the Pro is ideal for short- and medium-period swells, as in the Mediterranean; the Comp, longer and narrower, takes off better in long-period, faster swells, as in O'ahu.
Can it be used with a wing?+
Yes. F-ONE points out that it is incredible for winging in light wind and that it surfs very well even in very small waves.
What do I need to go downwinding?+
Physical fitness, suitable safety gear (leash, vest, light or signalling device) and, above all, never going out alone or without proper training. Always plan your finish point.
