Description

SURF FOIL · POCKET WING · K-WING

Carve turn after turn

The ROCKET FREE SURF CARBON combines glide, control and manoeuvrability in a narrow, elongated board, made for carving swell, bumps or chop, with or without a wing. It takes everything that made the Rocket Surf Prone a success, but with more length and less thickness to give you the support you need on take-off and to be 100% dedicated to carving turns once you're up in the air. It is the ideal board for surf foil, pocket wing, K-Wing or assisted foiling.

5'2 to 6'11 · 47 to 91 L · HD Foam Carbon Composite · Rear step and kicktail · 90 mm Twin Tracks

WHO IT'S FOR

Who it's for

  • Riders who do pocket wing, K-Wing or surf foil and want a board dedicated to carving swell and bumps.
  • Anyone looking for an easy take-off with little power without giving up an agile, manoeuvrable board in the air.
  • Intermediate riders and above who want to move on from glide-focused downwind to free surfing on the ocean's energy.
KEY FEATURES

What makes it special

01 Made for carving

Designed for carving turns with exceptional control, whether you load the rail hard or just let the wave carry you.

02 Compact, elongated shape

A narrow, long shape that glides smoothly and gives that free-surfing feeling over swell, bumps or chop.

03 Control and manoeuvrability

The refined nose and tail avoid touching the water in turns and let you link one curve after another with plenty of pitch stability.

04 Easy take-off

It accelerates quickly and takes off effortlessly, even when you're short on power.

05 Ultralight, stiff carbon

The HD Foam Carbon Composite construction is very light and stiff: more manoeuvrability, more response when pumping and an even more direct foil feel, with the same shape and the same programme as the bamboo version.

Where it shines: swell, bumps and waves, also in choppy seas; for pocket wing, K-Wing, surf foil or assisted foiling, in any conditions.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology and construction

  • Carbon Construction: high-density foam sandwich with fibreglass and carbon: light, strong and tougher against heel pressure and impacts.
  • Breathable Valve: a valve that automatically regulates the board's internal pressure with changes in temperature, air travel, hours in the sun or altitude.
  • Carbon Twin Tracks: carbon tracks with the standard 90 mm spacing, compatible with all masts with a four-screw plate.
  • Shape design: an elongated outline that makes take-off easier, well-distributed volume and a deck angle that balances pressure between the front and back foot.
  • Flat rocker and bevelled rails: the flat rocker gives smooth acceleration and the bevelled rails reduce drag when touching the water and allow more committed turns.
  • Rear step and kicktail: they release the water flow at the tail and increase the pumping range.

COMPARE

Which one to choose?

  • Rocket Free Surf: the same shape and programme in bamboo: slightly heavier and with an equally direct feel.
  • Rocket Free Downwind: more thickness, a wider nose and boxier rails: more stable and with even easier take-offs in difficult conditions; the Free Surf is more agile and balanced in turns.
  • Rocket Surf: the most compact board in the range, for pure prone surf foiling; much less volume and length.

Pair it with: the Plane Eagle foil, designed for surfing open water and linking bumps, or the Plane Sushi for waves; the Quest pocket wing, the Plume K-Wing or the Frigate parawing.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Which disciplines is it for?+

F-ONE presents it as the ideal board for surf foil, pocket wing, K-Wing and assisted foiling: any discipline where the wing or paddle is only used to take off and then you ride on the ocean's energy.

Free Surf or Free Downwind?+

The Free Surf is more agile thanks to its more refined nose and hull, its lower thickness and balanced foot pressure, with great pitch stability in hard turns. The Free Downwind is more stable and thicker, with the pressure slightly further forward, for those who prioritise easy take-offs in tricky conditions.

What's the difference between the bamboo and carbon versions?+

They share the same shape and programme. The carbon version is lighter and stiffer, more responsive when pumping and with a more direct feel; the bamboo version keeps a very direct feel with slightly more weight.

Which foil can I mount?+

It has Twin Tracks with the standard 90 mm spacing, so it accepts any mast with a four-screw plate.
