KEY FEATURES

What makes it special

04 Fewer connection points on A/C

Total freedom to place your hands on the bar and less risk of tangles.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology and construction

  • Canopy engineering: F-ONE has been designing kites since 1998 and wings since 2019; the layout of panels, seams and fabrics is designed so the profile doesn't distort under load.
  • Pack Assist: a set of front bridles that cuts the power instantly: just slide your hand a few centimetres along the white bridles and the parawing goes neutral.
  • Double Dynamic Bridle System: removes the B connector from the bar without adding pulleys or complex bridling; less risk of tangles, precise feel and intuitive power control.
  • D-Ribs: D-shaped ribs that control the shape and tension of the canopy: better glide with fewer bridles, more wind range and remarkable stiffness.
  • Carbon vertical bar: a moulded piece with extra length at the front to improve grip and comfort, with a very useful bracing point in strong wind.

COMPARE

Which one to choose?

  • Frigate 2: faster and better upwind; the choice if you're after performance over comfort.
  • Plume: F-ONE's K-Wing, with an inflatable leading edge, for freefly and downwind.

Pair it with: a downwind board such as the Rocket Free Downwind or the Rocket Free Downwind Carbon and an efficient foil such as the Plane Seven Seas or the Plane Escape.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Is it suitable for getting started in parawing?+

Yes. F-ONE recommends it from beginner to expert level: it has lots of depower, more feel in the back hand when sheeting in, and it's very stable and predictable.

Quest or Frigate?+

The Quest is more accessible, comfortable and easier to pack; the Frigate has more speed and better upwind ability. If you want to enjoy the run without complications, go for the Quest.

Can you ride without a harness line?+

Yes. The vertical bar extends maximum depower and lets you control the Quest comfortably across a wide wind range, even without a harness line.

How much does it weigh?+

According to F-ONE, from 0.34 kg for the 2 m² to 0.70 kg for the 6 m² for the parawing alone, and from 0.46 to 0.85 kg with bar and harness line.
