Description
Glide for downwinding
Previous version of the ROCKET FREE DOWNWIND CARBON (reference 77268-1402C). An elongated foil board for free flying and downwind, where the wing or paddle is used only to take off. It builds on the fundamentals of the Midlength – natural balance, stability and glide – with more length and a stretched outline to glide even further.
Previous version · 6'4 to 7'8 · 85 to 124 L · Carbon
Who it's for
- Pocket wing, K-Wing or downwind riders looking for this generation of the board in the sizes still available.
- Anyone who wants an elongated shape that takes off easily and glides a lot.
What makes it special
01 More length, more glide
The long shape and stretched outline improve glide and acceleration.
02 Rear step and kicktail
They help pick up speed quickly and soften touchdowns on the water.
03 Slightly recessed standing area
It keeps control under your feet without adding excess thickness, and the width/thickness ratio balances stability and acceleration even with little power.
04 Stable in choppy seas
More thickness, a wider nose and hull and boxier rails than the Free Surf, with pressure slightly further forward, for easy take-offs in difficult conditions.
05 Construction
HD Foam Carbon Composite, very light and stiff, more reactive when pumping and with the same shape and programme as the bamboo version.
Where it shines: open-sea bumps, downwinds and choppy sea conditions, with a pocket wing, K-Wing or paddle.
