New click-in safety system
At Popkite we are very excited to introduce the new part Duotone is debuting on its new kite bar: the new Iron Heart VI, the proprietary "click" safety system chosen by Duotone to perfect the new Trust Bar 2023. Now with just one movement you can connect or reconnect the chicken loop. You can also hear the click of the mechanism confirming that you are correctly connected.
As if that weren't enough, they have also added a new optical control feature with a green indicator so you can see at a glance whether you are properly connected and head out on the water to enjoy your favourite sport in complete safety.
If the indicator is green, it means you are correctly secured and can go out riding.
Among many other things, the sizes of the parts that make up this kite bar have been optimised. This version now uses a wider shaft so that the safety lines run more smoothly.
Robline kite lines
Duotone has been working with Robline in recent years on a new depower line called DPL24. This line has a sleeve made of 100% Dyneema. What does this mean? It means it is a very durable line: after hundreds of hours on the water you won't see any defects in it; it will be like the first day.
You may be wondering why the lines on the new Trust Bar are white... Dyneema is white and Duotone has decided not to dye them and keep their original colour.
The lines transmit the rider's hand inputs to the kite, and they are essential for kitesurfing safely. Thanks to the reduced diameter we get faster response. In addition, FLITE99 lines use Monofit, a material that stops the lines bending, twisting or wearing.
Below is a short video with the most relevant aspects of the Duotone Flite99 by Robline lines.
Trust Bar 2023 features
These are the features of the Trust Bar for the 2023 season:
- Manual untwisting: The Trust Bar 2023 adds a new friction bearing that makes untwisting the lines much easier.
- New depower line: we have added a new rubber-protected grip on the handle to protect your fingers and improve grip on the water.
- New configurations for the depower line to reinforce it and increase its durability.
- Easy adjustment: the easy width adjustment makes the new Trust Bar 2023 compatible with all types of kitesurf kites.
Designed exclusively by Duotone
This year Duotone's Trust Bar Quad Control 2023 features an important configuration in the Vario Cleat, which is completely new this year. It is 70% lighter than the previous year's model.
If you want to change the position of the lines, you just need to pull to the right-hand side and choose your preferred setting.
It has an adjustable clip to stow the depower line. What's more, the whole configuration has been designed exclusively by Duotone; it is undoubtedly a unique advance that aims to minimise wear and improve the grip of the Trust Bar.
A climate-neutral product
The Trust Bar 2023 is one of the many Duotone products that are climate neutral. Enjoying your passion for kitesurfing while leaving a minimal impact on the environment is possible thanks to Duotone's commitment to making products with the smallest possible environmental footprint.
CO2 emissions offsetting is the label that goes with all sports products that have been made with respect for the environment. This label is awarded when the emissions from manufacturing the products have been offset by actions and projects that help the environment.
The use of renewable energy and reforestation are some of the actions Duotone takes to offset the impact of its production.

Frequently asked questions
Differences between the Trust Bar 2023 and the Trust Bar 2022?
Since we first saw the new Robline lines on a kite bar with the arrival of the Duotone Trust Bar 2021, these lines have worked so well that they were also included in the later editions, the Trust Bar 2022 and the current Trust Bar Quad Control 2023.
Remember that in the 2022 edition the Trust Bar can take 4 different chicken loops (surf, freestyle, wakestyle or freeride), and this is also possible in the 2023 edition. In addition, both versions are compatible with any kite on the market.
But not everything is the same: there are significant differences in terms of safety. The 2022 season version had the Iron Heart IV as its main safety element, while the current 2023 version includes the same Iron Heart system in an improved version: a "click" system with optical control that shows green when we are properly secured, and, as if that weren't enough, you can hear the click of the mechanism confirming that you are correctly connected.
The Trust Bar 2023 is easier to use than the Trust Bar 2022: this new version adds a new friction bearing that makes untwisting the lines much easier.
So the main differences are in the bar design, weight (70% lighter) and safety.
