Description
Carving is no crime
Intuitive, responsive and radically fun, the new SK8 builds on the strengths of its predecessor with a refined design, improved construction and an unmistakable surf feel: more glide, more control and more freedom to carve. In this third generation, F-ONE's R&D team has fine-tuned the profile and outline so the pressure stays constant at all times, whether you're carving in the critical section of the wave or riding a heavily powered wing in choppy water.
Aspect ratio 8.0 · 550 to 1150 cm² · HM carbon · Monobloc · TITAN 2 connection
Who it's for
- Surf foilers and wing foilers who want to carve with a surf feel and constant pressure underfoot.
- Wing riders looking for high-speed glide and good upwind ability without loading up their arms.
- Kite foilers who want a playful wing for flat water or gentle swell (small sizes).
What makes it special
01 Aspect ratio 8.0
The balance between manoeuvrability and glide that has made the SK8 a benchmark.
02 Balanced pressure between feet
The new profile spreads the pressure between the front and back foot at all times: no overpowering, no jerks, no porpoising.
03 Refined outline and tips
Narrower tips for more roll and precise manoeuvrability; it easily handles the tips breaching the surface.
04 Updated layup
More overall control and stability, especially at high speed.
05 Agile across the whole speed range
It stays loose and responsive without ever locking up, even under heavy load or fully powered.
06 The most versatile in the range
Small waves, open-ocean bumps, whitewater or long waves: made to do it all.
07 TITAN 2 connection
Greater structural efficiency at the mast joint: better glide and a more direct feel.
Where it shines: surf foil and wing in waves, carving on open-ocean bumps, fast winging with good upwind ability and kite foil in flat water or gentle swell.

*Wing weight according to F-ONE. Official F-ONE data (full range). Aspect ratio relates span to surface area: the higher it is, the more glide and speed; the lower it is, the more lift, stability and turning. F-ONE highlights the small sizes for kite foil. Technology and construction
- HM (High Modulus) carbon: high-modulus Toray M40J fibre, 1.5 times stiffer than the conventional carbon used in other constructions.
- PrePreg carbon: the manufacturer itself impregnates the carbon fibre with epoxy resin, for a more uniform, lighter and stronger layup.
- DSD (Dynamic Structural Design): F-ONE adapts the carbon layup to the programme and use of each foil, because construction matters as much as shape.
- TITAN 2 connection: revised design of the joint between mast and wing, the most critical point of the foil: more structural efficiency, stiffness and reliability, with better glide and a more direct feel.
- Monobloc front wing: wing and front fuselage moulded in one go as a single piece, with no joint between them: parasitic movement disappears and the feel is more direct and reliable.
SK8 on the water
Which one to choose?
- Sushi: aspect ratio 7.7: less speed and more roll and control for steep, short-period waves; F-ONE positions it as a complement to the SK8.
- Seven Seas: more surface area and ease: better for beginner downwind and light wind.
- SK8 V2: the previous generation of the SK8.
Pair it with: the Tail Carving stabiliser (the one on the Plane SK8) and a mast with TITAN 2 connection such as the UHM Carbon Mast 12, the HM Carbon Mast 14 or the Carbon Mast 16; if you prefer aluminium, the Pack Alu Mast Titan 2 already includes the TITAN 2 top plate and mast foot.
Frequently asked questions
What's new in this third SK8?+
New profile and outline for a surf feel with constant pressure, narrower tips for more roll, a perfected carbon layup and TITAN 2 connection.
SK8 or Sushi?+
The SK8 is faster and more versatile; the Sushi has a little less speed and more roll and control, ideal in steep, short-period waves. F-ONE positions them as complementary.
Is it suitable for kite foil?+
Yes, F-ONE highlights the small sizes for kite foil: they carve very well, link manoeuvres together and perform very well in flat water or gentle swell.
What's included?+
The Monobloc front wing (wing and front fuselage in one piece). Stabiliser and mast are sold separately.
