Technology and construction
- Trinity TX: Duotone's exclusive canopy fabric developed with Teijin; its 3x2 weave stands the test of time better and responds better than 2x2 or 4x4 fabrics.
- Dacron and Technoforce D2: highly durable Teijin Dacron on the leading edge, strut, tips and high-stress areas; Technoforce D2 is a canopy fabric coating of proven strength.
- Kook Proof Connectors: foolproof line connectors: it's impossible to attach a line to the wrong point when setting up the kite.
- Anti Snag: tape on the tips that stops the lines from snagging on them; the kite relaunches more easily from the water and safety is improved.
Which one to choose?
- Mono 2026: the new generation, with the same official wind ranges; its official spec sheet also includes MOD 3S, a single-stitch trailing edge, Micro Loop connections and Double-V Pigtails.
- Juice 2026: the light-wind specialist (14 to 17 m) if you're looking to ride in minimal wind.
- Evo 2026: Duotone's all-rounder for freeride, jumping and waves: a better choice if you want to jump more than foil.
Pair it with: the Click Bar Quad Control 2027 (the most complete, with trim on the bar) or the Trust Bar Quad Control 2027 (simpler); for foiling, the Soar SLS 2027 board, and for freeride, the Select SLS 2027 twintip.
Frequently asked questions
What size Mono do I need?+
It depends on your weight, your board and your usual wind. With a foil you use a smaller size than with a twintip in the same wind: the 9 m covers 11 to 18 knots with a foil and 16 to 30 knots with a twintip. We explain it in our kite size guide.
Is it suitable for learning?+
Duotone highlights that its easy relaunch and forgiving flight make it accessible even for beginners; learning should always be done on a course at a school.
Mono 2025 or Mono 2026?+
They have the same official wind ranges. The official spec sheet for the 2026 also includes MOD 3S, Single Stitch Trailing Edge, Micro Loop Connections and Double-V Pigtails.
What bar and lines does it use?+
Duotone recommends 22 m lines and an S bar for the 3.5 to 9 m, and 24 m lines and an M bar for the 11 to 15 m.
