Description
Tighter turns and control on the wave
Duotone's wave board for wingfoil, sitting between the Sky Style SLS and the Paradox SLS. It combines a short length with a narrow, surf-style outline: the pointed nose cuts through whitewater and reduces swing weight, the high-apex bevelled rails and narrow bottom give clearance for aggressive turns, and the stepped tail releases you from the water sooner. Biax Carbon PVC construction, tough enough to land jumps on the wave.
SLS Biax Carbon PVC construction · Sizes 4'7" – 5'6" · 45 – 90 L · Riders 30 – 105 kg
Who it's for
- Wingfoil riders looking for pure performance in waves, with drawn-out, tight turns.
- Anyone who wants a compact board that takes off early and handles powerful jumps and landings on the wave.
- Riders who prefer a narrower stance: the inserts are closer together.
- Four sizes from 45 to 90 L, in 15 L steps, for riders from 30 to 105 kg.
What makes it special
01 Precise control on the wave
Compact, surf-inspired outline and shorter length: less swing weight and fast, precise reactions in critical sections.
02 Freedom in tight turns
A narrower outline, high-apex bevelled rails and a narrow bottom give maximum clearance to carve aggressive turns without the rail touching.
03 Clean entry into the wave
The pointed nose cuts efficiently through whitewater and reduces swing weight, keeping speed and control on take-offs and transitions.
04 Early take-off and quick release
The stepped tail reduces the wetted surface behind the foil: it releases sooner and responds better in turns.
05 Direct response
The light, stiff Biax Carbon PVC construction transmits power instantly and gives a precise feel.
06 Built for demanding conditions
Tough carbon and a reinforced foil connection area to withstand powerful landings and high-level waves.
Where it shines: wave wingfoiling, from small sections to demanding conditions, with tight turns and jumps on the wave.

“The narrow outline lets me carve harder, tighter turns than ever. The lower swing weight makes the board feel fast, loose and perfect for waves.”
Technology and construction
- Biax Carbon PVC construction: light, stiff and very tough, for direct power transfer, durability and precise control in demanding waves.
- Carbon foil tracks: reinforce the foil connection area for efficient power transfer and maximum response.
- High-apex bevelled rails: more clearance in turns, without the rail touching, for fluid, aggressive surfing.
- Narrow bottom: less drag and more clearance, with efficient planing and fast rail-to-rail transitions.
- Closer inserts: improve control and allow a narrower stance in all conditions and styles.
- Narrower outline: more manoeuvrability and clearance in turns, without losing efficient take-offs.
- Pointed nose: less swing weight and better passage through whitewater for control in critical sections.
- Rear openings in the tracks: quick, easy and precise foil mounting and adjustment.
- Stepped tail: less wetted surface behind the foil to lift off sooner, release cleanly and turn with more response.

Pair it with: the Unit SLS 2027 wing, the Duotone footstraps for wingfoil boards and the Wing Boardbag Single 2027 bag.
Frequently asked questions
Which Trace SLS size should I choose?+
Duotone recommends the 4'7" (45 L) for 30 to 60 kg, the 4'10" (60 L) for 45 to 75 kg, the 5'2" (75 L) for 60 to 90 kg and the 5'6" (90 L) for 75 to 105 kg. The small sizes are very compact wave boards; the large ones are more stable for heavier riders and more conditions.
How does it differ from the Sky Style SLS?+
The Trace has a narrower outline, a pointed nose and high-apex rails designed for turning on the wave; the Sky Style SLS is wider, with more rocker, and geared towards freestyle and jumps.
Can it handle jumps?+
