Description
The most versatile mid-length for flying sooner
Mid-length board for all-round wing foiling, based on the shape of the Skybrid D/LAB 2027. It takes off early, glides efficiently and gives control at high speed thanks to its moderate rocker. The rounded bevelled rails soften touchdowns, the diamond tail turns with agility and the Biax Carbon PVC Sandwich construction makes it light and reactive. It also works with parawing and Foil Assist.
SLS Biax Carbon PVC construction · Sizes 5'5" – 6'1" · 60 – 100 L · Riders 45 – 110 kg
Who it's for
- Intermediate to expert wing foil riders who want one board for everything: freeride, small waves and free flying.
- Anyone looking to take off sooner in light wind thanks to the mid-length and the glide.
- Parawing and Foil Assist riders who need stability and control.
- Five sizes from 60 to 100 L for riders from 45 to 110 kg.
What makes it special
01 Versatile mid-length
Balanced outline and moderate rocker: early take-off, efficient glide and stable control in a wide range of conditions.
02 Early, efficient take-off
The more pronounced rounded bevelled rails reduce the planing surface so it releases cleanly and gets up on the foil sooner and smoothly.
03 Stable, planted control
The lower rail apex and a wider standing area, extended out to the rail, improve balance and give a secure stance.
04 Dynamic turns
The diamond tail offers a stable platform and improves clearance and manoeuvrability in turns.
05 Light and reactive
The Biax Carbon PVC Sandwich construction gives a stiff structure, with efficient power transfer and direct response.
06 Quick mounting and precise tuning
Long carbon foil tracks with rear openings to mount quickly and place the foil wherever you want.
Where it shines: freeride in light and strong wind, small waves, parawing and Foil Assist downwinders.

“It accelerates effortlessly and feels incredibly planted underfoot. Whether I'm cruising or carving turns on the waves, the control is always there.”
Technology and construction
- Biax Carbon PVC Sandwich: light, stiff construction that transfers power efficiently and gives a very reactive feel.
- Diamond tail: wide, stable platform with more clearance and manoeuvrability in turns.
- Long carbon tracks with rear openings: let you position the foil precisely and mount it quickly and easily.
- Lower rail apex: improves the board's overall stability and balance.
- Moderate rocker line: balances early lift with control: it accelerates smoothly and stays stable at higher speed.
- Multiple footstrap positions: to adjust your stance and gain balance, control and comfort.
- Rounded bevelled rails: less planing surface to take off sooner, touch down smoothly and pump better.
- Thin deck pad (3 mm): direct feel and more control thanks to a closer connection with the board.
- Wider standing area: extends towards the rails to spread your weight better and increase control.
The Skybrid SLS 2027 on the water
Which one to choose?
- Skybrid D/LAB 2027: the same concept in Hollow Shell construction: over 2 kg lighter in most sizes and the response of a prone board, but it is not designed for jumping.
- Paradox SLS 2027: less rocker and a more reduced hull: takes off sooner and pumps better with a parawing; the Skybrid is more stable and controls better at high speed with a wing foil wing.
- Sky Style SLS 2027: shorter and more compact, focused on freestyle and jumping.
Pair it with: the Unit SLS 2027 wing, the Stash 2026 parawing if you want to try parawing, and the Wing Boardbag Mid-length bag.
Frequently asked questions
Which Skybrid SLS size should I choose?+
Each size covers about 30 kg: 5'5" from 45 to 75 kg, 5'7" from 55 to 85 kg, 5'9" from 65 to 95 kg, 5'11" from 75 to 100 kg and 6'1" from 80 to 110 kg. If you are between two and ride in light wind, choose the bigger one to take off sooner.
Is it suitable for parawing and Foil Assist?+
Yes. It is optimised for wing foiling, but Duotone also designs it for parawing and Foil Assist. More about the system in our article on Duotone's Foil Assist.
What is the difference from the Skybrid D/LAB?+
The SLS is based on the shape of the D/LAB 2027, but with Biax Carbon PVC Sandwich construction: tougher and suitable for jumping, in exchange for a bit more weight (4.70 to 6.00 kg versus 3.38 to 4.08 kg).
Can you jump with it?+
Yes. Unlike the Skybrid D/LAB and the Paradox SLS, the Skybrid SLS can handle jumps and riding with both feet in the footstraps.
Which bag do I need?+
The Wing Boardbag Mid-length: 5'5" for the 5'5", 5'9" for the 5'7" and 5'9", and 6'1" for the 5'11" and 6'1".
