This kite respects climate neutrality
The Duotone Mono 2021 is one of the many products from the manufacturer Duotone that are climate neutral. What does this mean? You've surely read or heard a lot about CO2 emissions offsetting (CO2 offset) in sports products, or about manufacturers referring to this concept on their product labelling. Well, these products are given this label (climate neutral) when the environmental emissions resulting from their manufacture have been counteracted or offset by other projects that help the environment.

Duotone Mono details
Duotone has also achieved its lightness goal for the Duotone Mono 2021 . It has reduced the weight by up to 15% compared with its predecessor kites.
The Mono is a single-strut kite designed to perform at its best in freeride and foiling.
This kite performs perfectly in light-wind conditions and, at the same time, holds its own across a wide wind range, which makes it a very interesting option for any kitesurfer.
As you probably know, single-strut kites flap as soon as the wind picks up a little… but the Duotone Mono is different: its shape and construction combine to keep flapping to a minimum, while it stands out for its great performance for all riders and winds.
It has a very smooth power progression, which makes it quite an easy kite to tame.
If you have some experience flying different kites, you'll know that in light winds most kites tend to fall back and, if you're not very experienced, you'll find the kite hard to control. As we mentioned before, at least with the Mono 2021 it's easier to solve this problem.

Leading edge
The Mono 2021's leading edge is made of Dacron that is resistant to high tension and diagonal forces. It's also reinforced with self-adhesive Insignia tape.
Kook proof connectors
The Duotone Mono has safety points called kook proof. These connection points prevent accidents such as connecting the kite's lines incorrectly.
Double-v pigtails
What the pigtails do is distribute the kite's load, minimising the pressure the lines exert on the kite and making it deform less. Handling is therefore smoother.
Anti Snag fabric
The Anti Snag fabric prevents the lines from tangling on the kite's wingtip. Getting going from the water is now easier and safety is greater.
Self Rescue Handles
The Mono 2021 has handles for use in an emergency. These handles serve for self-rescue in case the kite tears and comes down out at sea. They're located on the inside of the kite and will let you get back safely to the shore.
