Description
Take off easily, glide far
The Sonar Downwind series is designed to take off effortlessly at low speed and reach high speeds to follow the swell faster: less drag and a longer glide, while keeping the manoeuvrability to move between the bumps and with maximum resistance to ventilation. The DW820 has considerably more top speed than the DW750 thanks to the fine-tuning of its foil sections, and it also takes off at a lower speed.

Who it's for
- Wing or paddle downwind riders who want to glide further.
- Anyone looking to link bumps in the swell with minimum effort.
What makes it special
01 Maximised span
Maximised wingspan for less drag and a longer glide.
02 Very manoeuvrable in the swell
Turns easily so you can seek out the best lines when downwinding.
03 Efficient and intuitive to turn
Very efficient, turns naturally and resists ventilation to the max.
04 For light or advanced riders
Ideal for light or expert riders, strong wind and big, fast swell.
05 With S142 or S122 stabiliser
North recommends it with the S142 or the S122 for maximum glide and a livelier response when turning.
