Maximum glide, minimum effort
The Glide series stabilisers, with high aspect and thin profiles, let you cover huge distances with very little effort when downwinding, pumping or prone. North builds them in high-modulus carbon to achieve the stiffness they need despite their thin, elongated shape, so you can turn and pump with precision. The S142 is the highest-performance one: very fast and lively. An average rider may find it somewhat demanding when pumping, but if you put energy into it, it keeps gliding. It handles up to the DW1400, although for the bigger sizes North recommends the S192.

According to North's compatibility chart: SF530 (advanced riders), SF680 (advanced riders), SF830, SF930, SF1080, SF1230 (riders over 85 kg), DW750, DW820, DW900, DW1100, DW1400 (riders under 85 kg), P1800 (advanced riders) and P2050 (advanced riders).
What changes with a bigger or smaller stabiliser?+
According to North, the stabiliser creates a downward force that stops the front wing from nosediving: a bigger one needs more front-foot pressure, and a smaller one, less.
Which screws does it use?+
It comes with the C screw set (M8 x 16). North recommends applying marine grease to the screws every time you assemble it.
Is it compatible with my foil?+
Yes, if you have North's Sonar system: it fits all their aluminium and carbon fuselages.
