Description
Single strut, light and highly reactive
The Code Zero Pro is North's single-strut kite for foiling, waves, light-wind freeride and downwind runs. Its more durable, flexible and lighter N-Max2 frame gives it faster response, smoother turning and more dynamic relaunch. For 2025, North updated the canopy shape and the angle of attack at the wingtips to reduce flutter and improve depower, refined the leading edge with a little more sweep at the tips and repositioned the bridles. More wind range and new 3.5 and 4 m sizes.
1 strut · Sizes 3.5 – 14 m · Foil 7 – 35+ knots · N-Max2 frame
Who it's for
- Foil riders looking for a light kite that flies in very little wind and drifts well.
- Wave riders who want a kite that's easy to steer one-handed and follows the wave.
- Anyone learning to ride or foil in light wind who values easy relaunch.
What makes it special
01 Light-wind freeride, foil, waves and downwinders
Efficient power delivery in light and gusty wind, with direct drive through the turn and the performance to get through lulls.
02 Light and efficient
One of the lightest single-strut kites North has ever designed, with lighter bladders for maximum response and turning speed.
03 Dynamic, agile turning
Fast and reactive, easy to control with one hand; the small sizes are very quick through the window.
04 Stable, balanced design
Even tension for one-handed steering and good upwind ability, also ideal for learning to ride or foil in light wind.
05 Easy relaunch
Intuitive relaunch, including reverse launch, to get you back riding straight away.
06 Excellent drift and manoeuvrability
It flies and turns fast and drifts very well, exactly what you want for foiling and waves.
Where it shines: light-wind foiling, waves, light-wind freeride and downwind runs.

Ranges from North's official chart (foil range and range riding without a foil), intended for an average-weight, intermediate-to-advanced rider on a twintip. If you're light or just starting out, North advises subtracting 5 knots from the upper limit; for foiling, go down a few sizes depending on conditions. To choose based on your weight and usual wind, see our kite size guide. Check the selector for the sizes and colours available in store.

Less weight, more flight
A single strut, an N-Max2 frame 8% lighter than standard Dacron and undyed canopy: the Code Zero Pro takes off in very little wind, stays in the air through the lulls and responds instantly to the slightest input at the bar.
Technology and construction
- N-Max2 frame: 8% lighter than standard Dacron (156 g/m²), with more bias flex for smoother, more dynamic turning; it improves consistency and tear resistance.
- Undyed N-HTRS canopy: high-tenacity ripstop, light, strong and with zero porosity.
- Smoother aerodynamics: leading edge shape and diameter, canopy shape and wingtip angle of attack revised to reduce flutter and improve depower.
- Bridles for more control: attachment points repositioned to suit the swept leading edge and placed on the segments for a more direct, solid feel.
- Trailing edge reinforcement: double layer of canopy for optimal tension; small battens stabilise the 9, 10, 11 and 14 m sizes.
- Lighter bladders: in keeping with a lightweight construction for maximum response and turning speed.
- HyperFlow fast inflation: single-point inflation with a large-diameter hose and a bayonet valve compatible with most pumps without an adapter.
- Compact travel bag: lightweight PET bag with foil holder, mesh windows, zipped pockets, a bar compartment and a pump holder.
- Includes: kite, bag and repair kit.

Frequently asked questions
What size Code Zero Pro do I need?+
It depends on your weight, the wind and whether you ride a foil. As a guide, for foiling North gives the 7 m 10 to 21 knots, the 9 m 8 to 18 and the 11 m 7 to 16. To understand how much wind you need, see how much wind you need to kitesurf.
Why a single-strut kite?+
Fewer struts means less weight: the kite flies in less wind, drifts better and is easier to steer one-handed, ideal for foiling and waves.
What's new on the Code Zero Pro 2025?+
A new canopy shape and a new angle of attack at the wingtips to reduce flutter and depower more, a refined leading edge with a little more sweep, repositioned bridles and new 3.5 and 4 m sizes.
Is it good for getting started in foiling?+
Yes, North recommends it for learning to ride or foil in light wind thanks to its stability and intuitive relaunch. We explain foiling in what hydrofoiling is in kitesurfing.
What's included?+
The kite, bag and repair kit. The bar is sold separately.
