Description
The Mystic Star Fullsuit 5/4mm Bzip is a kids' 5/4 mm full wetsuit with a back zip. It's now made entirely from stretch neoprene so it fits better and gives more freedom of movement. The kneepads protect the knees and its construction keeps it tough season after season.
Who it's for
- Kids and young riders who are starting out or already ride regularly.
- Families and schools looking for a durable suit.
Features
- 5/4 mm thickness: 5 mm on the torso and 4 mm on the arms and legs.
- GBS seams (glued and blind stitched): the needle doesn't go through the neoprene, so the seam is watertight and warmer.
- Double Glideskin collar: smooth, stretchy double-layer skin that seals the neck without chafing.
- 4-way stretch kneepads: protect the knees without reducing mobility.
- Lining protector: stops the closure's velcro from damaging the lining and extends the life of the suit.
- Back zip: the most comfortable entry for getting the suit on and off.
- MX2 neoprene: Mystic's essential stretch neoprene.
- XTR lining: stretchy, tough fabric.

Official Mystic chart. If they're between two sizes, go by height and chest: the wetsuit needs to fit snugly to keep them warm, so it's best not to buy it big “so it lasts”. More help in our guide to choosing the perfect wetsuit. Check the selector for the sizes available in store.
Frequently asked questions
What does 5/4 mm mean?
The first number is the neoprene thickness on the torso (5 mm) and the second on the arms and legs (4 mm): more thickness where you need warmth and less where you need to move.
Why a back zip?
It's the easiest and most comfortable entry for getting the suit on and off.
What water temperature is it for?
Mystic doesn't give a specific temperature. As a general guide, a 5/4 mm full wetsuit works well in water of around 8 to 13 °C, although it depends a lot on the wind and how much you feel the cold. Our guide to choosing a wetsuit has the full explanation.
