Description
The Mystic Star Fullsuit 5/3mm Bzip is a women's 5/3 mm full wetsuit with a back zip. The Star has been a Mystic classic for more than a decade, now updated: stretchy MX2 neoprene, a pattern designed in 3D with virtual simulation for a better fit, and the Aquaflush system to keep cold water at bay.
Who it's for
- Anyone looking for a reliable, warm, good-value wetsuit to ride often.
- Winter and cold-water sessions.
Features
- 5/3 mm thickness: 5 mm on the torso and 3 mm on the arms and legs.
- Taped seam crossings: inner reinforcement where the seams cross, which is where water usually gets in first.
- GBS seams (glued and blind-stitched): the needle doesn't go all the way through the neoprene, so the seam is watertight and warmer.
- YKK back zip: the most comfortable entry for getting the suit on and off.
- Double Glideskin neck: smooth, stretchy skin in a double layer that seals the neck without chafing.
- Inner shield behind the zip: a panel under the back zip that stops water getting in through the back.
- Wind Mesh chest panel: smooth-skin neoprene that blocks the wind and reduces wind chill.
- Hex-tech knee pads: 4-way stretch and abrasion-resistant.
- Non-slip cuffs and ankles: they stay in place and limit water entry.
- Aquaflush: Mystic's system to hold back cold water and drain the water that gets into the suit.
- Lining protector: stops the closure's Velcro from damaging the lining and extends the life of the suit.
- Easy entry: an opening designed so you can get the suit on and off without a struggle.
- MX2 neoprene: Mystic's essential stretch neoprene.
- Fox Fleece lining on the chest and back.

Frequently asked questions
What does 5/3 mm mean?
The first number is the neoprene thickness on the torso (5 mm) and the second on the arms and legs (3 mm): more thickness where you need warmth and less where you need to move.
Why a back zip?
It's the easiest and most comfortable entry for getting the suit on and off.
What water temperature is it for?
Mystic doesn't give a specific temperature. As a general guide, a 5/3 mm full wetsuit works well in water of around 9 to 14 °C, although it depends a lot on the wind and how much you feel the cold. Our guide to choosing a wetsuit has the full explanation.
