Description
The Mystic Star Fullsuit 4/3mm DFzip is a women's 4/3 mm full wetsuit with a double front zip. The Star has been a Mystic classic for more than a decade, now updated: stretchy MX2 neoprene, a pattern designed in 3D with virtual simulation for a better fit, and the Aquaflush system to keep cold water at bay.
Who it's for
- Anyone looking for a reliable, warm wetsuit with good value for money to ride often.
- Spring and autumn sessions and cool water.
Features
- 4/3 mm thickness: 4 mm on the torso and 3 mm on the arms and legs.
- Tape at seam crossings: internal reinforcement at the points where seams cross, which is where water usually gets in first.
- GBS seams (glued and blind-stitched): the needle doesn't go through the neoprene, so the seam is watertight and warmer.
- YKK double front zip: chest entry, leaving the back free for more stretch and a better seal.
- Glideskin collar: smooth, stretchy skin that seals the neck without chafing.
- Aquabarrier: internal barrier at the entry that stops water getting through.
- Hex-tech kneepads: 4-way stretch and abrasion-resistant.
- Non-slip cuffs and ankles: they stay in place and limit water entry.
- Aquaflush: Mystic's system to hold back cold water and drain the water that gets into the suit.
- Easy entry: an opening designed so you can put the suit on and take it off without a struggle.
- MX2 neoprene: Mystic's essential stretch neoprene.
- Fox Fleece lining on the chest, back and upper legs.

Frequently asked questions
What does 4/3 mm mean?
The first number is the neoprene thickness on the torso (4 mm) and the second on the arms and legs (3 mm): more thickness where you need warmth and less where you need to move.
What's the advantage of the double front zip?
Chest entry leaves the back free, so the suit stretches more across the shoulders and back and seals the neck better; the double zip makes it easier to put on and take off.
What water temperature is it for?
Mystic doesn't state a specific temperature. As a general guide, a 4/3 mm full suit works well in water of around 12 to 16 °C, although it depends a lot on the wind and how much you feel the cold. Our wetsuit buying guide has the full explanation.
