Description

WAVES · FREEFLY · DOWNWIND

Light, compact and made for waves

Known for its lightness and manoeuvrability, the SWING shines in waves and freefly with total control and very smooth power delivery. This fifth version debuts a completely revised design and a smaller span, which make it lighter, make pumping easier, improve manoeuvrability and let you ride with your arms lower. It also inherits the forward pull of the STRIKE.

Reduced span · Sweep Control Panel · HITEX fabric · 2 to 5.5 m² · Lilac/Onyx colour

WHO IT'S FOR

Who it's for

  • Riders looking for a wing to surf waves and freefly, with a neutral position you can forget about.
  • Anyone starting out on downwinders who needs good upwind ability to get back.
  • Smaller riders, who appreciate riding with their arms lower and a light wing.
KEY FEATURES

What makes it special

01 New design, less span

More lightness and manoeuvrability and excellent low-end take-off thanks to the compact design.

02 Sweep Control Panel

In 178 g HITEX, it controls trailing edge tension and reinforces the leading edge, while keeping lateral flex for comfortable pumping.

03 Stability and comfort

Stays stable and comfortable in any situation, including choppy seas.

04 Controlled speed

Well-controlled acceleration and speed for accessible performance and intuitive riding.

05 Excellent freefly

Its neutral position lets you focus on your line and the wave.

06 One boom for the whole range

The optimised strap positions let you use a single boom across several sizes and models of F-ONE wing.

Where it shines: waves, freefly and downwinders; it also gives control in choppy seas and when accelerating at high speed.

Data from F-ONE's official Swing V5 spec sheet (reference 77251-0801). The weight is for the wing. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one if you're heavier or ride in gusty wind, and the smaller one if you want manoeuvrability in waves; if in doubt, ask us. Check the selector for the sizes and colours available in store.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology and construction

  • Sail engineering: F-ONE has been designing kites since 1998 and wings since 2019; the layout of panels, seams and fabrics is designed so the profile doesn't deform under load.
  • HITEX: high-tenacity polyester with a top-quality weave and coating; it resists stretching, provides structural stability and extends the wing's life.
  • Sweep Control Panel: leading edge panel that dynamically and precisely controls the wing's sweep thanks to better tension control.
  • Interchangeable handle system: all F-ONE wings accept different types of handles or a boom to adapt them to how you ride.
  • Longer Load Diffuser and radial cut: minimise wing deformation and distribute tension better.

COMPARE

Which one to choose?

  • Swing V5 Flame/Onyx and Onyx/Mint: the same model in Flame/Onyx and Onyx/Mint.
  • Strike 6: more powerful, faster and more versatile for freeride and freestyle; the Swing is lighter and more neutral for freefly.
  • Origin V2: the smoothest and most comfortable in the range, designed for progression.
  • Plume: F-ONE's K-Wing, a kite-wing hybrid for downwind and freefly.

Pair it with: the Carbon Boom V2 or the Hard Wing Handle, Hybrid Wing Handle and Soft Wing Handle, the Wrist Leash With Swivel, a board such as the Rocket Wing - S and the Max Flow Pump.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Swing or Strike?+

The Swing is lighter, more compact and neutral: ideal for waves, freefly and downwind. The Strike has more power and speed for freeride, jumping and freestyle.

What's changed in the fifth version?+

A revised design with less span, the Strike's forward pull, a new radial cut, a longer Load Diffuser and the Sweep Control Panel in 178 g HITEX.

Is it suitable for lighter riders?+

Yes. Its reduced span lets you ride with your arms lower, something F-ONE highlights as perfect for smaller riders.

Can I use the same boom as on other F-ONE wings?+

Yes. The strap positions are optimised so a single Carbon Boom works across several sizes and models in the F-ONE range.
