Duotone's Evo kite has, over time, become the highest-performing kite in the range. With the new "Duotone Evo SLS" (Strong Light Superior) update, it has become a more versatile kite than its predecessor, the Duotone Evo.

Main features of the Duotone Evo SLS
The SLS initials on the new Duotone Evo stand for Strong Light Superior ((strong, light and superior). When you see these initials on a Duotone kite, it means you're looking at a product that has sought perfection through new technologies and construction materials. Indeed, the main update to the Duotone Evo SLS is the addition of a new material called Penta TX to its construction (we'll go deeper into this material throughout this post).
As we mentioned before, the Evo SLS sets a new standard of versatility. It's a perfect kite for freeride, freestyle, riding big waves and, if your passion is foilboarding… you can also do that with the SLS.
As well as using a new material in its construction, the Duotone Evo SLS kite also features new Flex Struts that let the kite twist like never before when you sheet in the bar, and when it really counts the result is lightning-fast handling!

This kite respects climate neutrality
The Duotone Evo SLS 2021 is one of the many climate-neutral products from the manufacturer Duotone. What does this mean? You've surely read or heard a lot about CO2 emissions offsetting (CO2 offset) in sports products, or about manufacturers referring to this concept on their product labelling. Well, these products are given this label (climate neutral) when the environmental emissions resulting from their manufacture have been counteracted or offset by other projects that help the environment.
Every manufacturing process, whatever the product… leaves an environmental footprint. Duotone's goal is to strive to minimise the environmental impact resulting from the production of the products we love so much. To do this, Duotone promotes projects based on renewable energy and sustainable activities in order to counteract the environmental footprint of its production.

The Evo SLS sets a new standard of all-round versatility and is perfect for huge jumps, riding waves and freestyle manoeuvres.
If what you're after is enjoying a long cruise at sea and riding towards the horizon without a care… Relax! The Evo SLS is also for you. As we mentioned before, it's the most versatile kite in the Duotone range.
It's not only for riding: you can also go foiling with it.
One of the biggest surprises for Duotone's R&D team when testing the kite was seeing the Duotone Evo SLS stay in the air while other foiling kites were already lying on the sea.
For the R&D team it was a constant surprise that the Evo SLS never fell out of the sky even when the foiling kites were already down. The Evo SLS is the ultimate kite embodying the “do-it-all” concept.
Penta TX features
The Evo SLS's new construction for 2021 replaces the Dacron already used in other kites with Penta TX, significantly reducing the kite's weight by 15% while making it five times more durable. This supercharges the handling, increases the wind range and makes the Evo SLS a unique flying experience.
The new materials and construction make the kite much stiffer, resulting in very agile and precise overall handling, while the weight reduction improves the low end.
Penta TX offers half the stretch of the standard Dacron used in other kites. What does this mean? It means a stiffer kite frame that performs better in strong winds, since it prevents the frame from deforming.
