Thinner, faster
Incredibly thin and impressively fast. North has reduced the thickness of the submerged section of its high-modulus pre-preg carbon masts by more than 15% compared with standard carbon masts, while also increasing bending and torsional stiffness. The HM80 is designed for windless disciplines (prone foil surfing, pumping and downwind): its shorter chord reduces drag and gives more glide, more efficient pumping and faster turns. The HM85 covers all disciplines, with the focus on wingfoiling, and has a slightly longer chord in the submerged section to help with upwind riding. The HM105 is optimised for racing: its submerged section is a further 1 mm thinner for maximum top speed, which is why it isn't a mast for jumping. North has also greatly reduced ventilation at the mast's trailing edge, whatever the sea state.

Can I jump with it?+
North states that the HM95 and HM105 are not for jumping; it doesn't put that restriction on the HM80 or HM85.
Is it compatible with my foil?+
Yes: it includes screws and washers for mounting on both carbon and aluminium Sonar fuselages.
