Description
North ShiftLock carbon handles: they slide and lock at any point along the wing’s track so you can set your hand position however you like. They’re bought separately from the wing, as 250, 400 and 500 mm handles or as a 950 and 1100 mm boom.

Official North recommendation. The 250 mm handles work on any wing; from 6 m up North recommends the 1100 mm boom or two 500 mm handles. The 2.9 m Nova Pro only takes the 950 mm boom or handles. All ShiftLock wings take the 400 mm carbon J-handle. You need a Torx T40 key. Compatible with North wings with the ShiftLock track system (all Pro models from 2025 onwards). Not compatible with GripLock rigid-handle wings. Check the selector for the sizes available in store.
Frequently asked questions
Handles or boom?
The boom weighs less because it only has two attachment points; it’s good for big wings and light wind. With individual handles you can fine-tune the position of each hand.
Does the 250 mm work on any wing?
Yes, the 250 mm handles work on any wing size and any front/back combination.
