Description
Early take-off, smooth flight and forgiving
The Seek is North's freeride wingfoil board: it takes off early, is smooth and responsive, and gives you stability on take-off and touchdown. Its balanced design releases cleanly and offers a comfortable stance for gybing, tacking and controlled jumps. Shape and weight are designed to be efficient on the water, and the planing surfaces angled right to the tail forgive touchdowns without catching. The deeply concave deck gives good heel and toe control, and the glass fibre construction with a PVC wrap on the deck and rails makes it light and impact-resistant.

*Official North data (length × width × thickness in inches), as published in their chart. Beginner: new to foiling, with experience in other board sports. Float: to get going kneeling or standing and in light wind, choose a board with a volume close to your weight. If you're between two sizes, the bigger one is more stable and easier; the smaller one, more agile. Check the selector for the sizes available in store.
“The Seek is all about easy take-offs, predictable control and having fun without overthinking it.”
Technology and construction
- Glass fibre with PVC wrap: light glass fibre construction with the deck and rails wrapped in PVC over an EPS core: impact-resistant.
- Square nose and tail: narrower parallel outline for efficiency on the water; the wide nose lengthens the waterline and helps with recovery, and the wide tail has a sharp release edge.
- Deeply concave deck: more leverage and heel and toe control; it lowers the centre of gravity and spreads the volume towards the rails for more stability.
- Maximum-traction pad: non-abrasive EVA with tactile and visual stance references, so you can place your feet quickly and feel the foil directly.
- Custom strap positions: centreline and V inserts to customise your stance, regular or goofy. Straps not included.
- Tri-Plane hull: angled rails to clear choppy water when riding heeled over; the bottom breaks the water's surface and releases quickly without sticking.
- Auto-Stance balance point: you barely need to move your feet when going from displacement mode to flying: the volume and track position balance the weight of the rider and the foil.
- Refined bevelled rails: less drag and more stability by widening the support surface; less water contact on touchdowns so it releases sooner and turns smoothly.
- DropBox: the mast (or the Foil Drive) slides in already fitted with the screws and nuts in the track; slide it, tighten it and adjust it to your weight using the position guide next to the track. 165 × 90 mm tracks, compatible with most foils on the market.
- Titanium hardware: corrosion-resistant titanium M8 × 30 mm screws and T-nuts included.
- 2.4 GHz signal window: a glass fibre zone that lets the remote's signal through: the board is Foil Drive ready.

Frequently asked questions
Which Seek size should I choose?+
For learning or riding in light wind, North recommends a board with a volume close to your weight: the 5'5" (98 L) up to 100 kg, the 5'7" (108 L) up to 110 kg, the 5'9" (118 L) up to 120 kg and the 5'11" (138 L) up to 140 kg. If you already fly confidently, you can go one size down.
Is it good for learning to wingfoil?+
Yes. It's stable, takes off early and forgives touchdowns, so it's a good board to start and progress on. Our guide What is wingfoiling? can help.
How does it differ from the Seek Pro?+
The Seek uses glass fibre with a PVC wrap on the deck and rails, while the Seek Pro uses carbon with a full PVC wrap: lighter and more responsive, with offset inserts and a board bag included. The Seek comes in bigger sizes and is more affordable.
What's included?+
The board and the titanium DropBox hardware (4 M8 × 30 mm screws and 4 T-nuts). Board bag, straps and foil not included.
