Its 20 mm foam blocks absorb impact and break the surface tension of the water in high-speed wipeouts; even so, it's flexible and lets you move with complete freedom. It can be worn on its own or under your wetsuit.

Does this vest float?
No. It's an impact vest: it protects against knocks and crashes, but Mystic states that it is not a flotation device or a buoyancy aid.
How do I choose the size?
Go by the chest circumference in the chart. It should fit snugly so it doesn't slide when you fall, but not so tight that it restricts your breathing or upper-body rotation.
Is it worn over or under the wetsuit?
Mystic designs it to be worn under the wetsuit, although it can also be used on its own.
