Description
The ION Spectre Bar 2 for windsurfing is a highly refined spreader bar: durable aluminium hook, integrated padding and a carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic base. The side flaps give a more direct feel and stop the bar from rotating upwards, and the side rings make it easier to put on and take off. ION developed it over several years with more than 50 testers and more than 2,000 hours of testing, with team riders such as Liam Dunkerbeck.

Features
- Spectre flaps: made of tough TPE plastic, easy to remove and refit; they stop the bar from rotating upwards and give more stability and response.
- Double-sided buckles: stainless steel connection between bar and straps with a double-lever system to change or remove the bar without touching the strap adjustment.
- Padding: the bar body is integrated into the padding, which covers the hard edges for more protection, comfort and safety.
- Carbon Infused: injected plastic reinforced with recycled carbon fibre for more durability and strength.
- Aluminium hook: forged and integrated into the bar body, with an upper curve for more strength and less leverage.
- Composition: 70 % polyamide, 20 % aluminium, 5 % stainless steel, 10 % ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA).
Compatibility
- ION harnesses with bar straps; the hook can be swapped for the Spectre 2 aluminium hook.
