Description

The ION Capture 4/3 Back Zip is a 4/3 mm back-zip fullsuit for kids and teens. It's designed for young riders keen to progress: tough and comfortable at the same time, it takes the design and technical details of the adult Element range.

Who it's for

  • Kids and teens who ride in cool water (10 to 18 °C).
  • Young riders keen to progress who need a tough wetsuit.
  • Families looking for a comfortable, durable junior wetsuit.

Features

  • 4/3 mm thickness: 4 mm on the torso to retain heat and 3 mm on the arms and legs so you can move more freely.
  • Water temperature: ION recommends it for cool water, from 10 to 18 °C.
  • Cut: back-zip fullsuit.
  • Basic warmth and wind protection for temperate climates and first adventures on the water.
  • Silk_Stuff: thin, soft inner lining for more stretch and comfort.
  • Glued and blind-stitched seams (Glued Blind Stitch).
  • Reinforced stress points.
  • S_Type: standard foam made from limestone instead of petroleum, with a good balance between warmth and stretch.
  • Composition: 80% neoprene and 20% polyamide.

Frequently asked questions

What does 4/3 mean?

It's the neoprene thickness in millimetres: 4 mm on the torso, where retaining heat matters most, and 3 mm on the arms and legs, so you can move more freely.

What water temperature is it designed for?

ION rates it for cool water, from 10 to 18 °C. How it feels also depends on the wind, how long you spend in the water and how much you feel the cold.

How do I get the size right?

Go by the height and weight in the chart. It's not a good idea to buy it several sizes too big so it lasts longer: water would get in and it would keep them much less warm.
