Description

The ION Capture 2/2 Shorty SS Front Zip is a 2/2 mm short-sleeve shorty with a front zip for kids and teens. It's designed for young riders keen to progress: tough and comfortable at the same time, it takes the design and technical details of the adult Element range.

Who it's for

  • Kids and teens riding in tropical water (22 to 30 °C).
  • Young riders keen to progress who need a tough suit.
  • Families looking for a comfortable, durable junior suit.

  • Water temperature: ION recommends it for tropical water, 22 to 30 °C.
  • Cut: short-sleeve shorty with front zip.
  • Basic warmth and wind protection for mild climates and first adventures in the water.
  • Silk_Stuff: thin, soft inner lining for more stretch and comfort.
  • S_Type: standard foam made from limestone instead of petroleum, with a good balance between warmth and stretch.

Frequently asked questions

What does 2/2 mean?

It's the neoprene thickness in millimetres: 2 mm on both the torso and the arms and legs.

What water temperature is it designed for?

ION rates it for tropical water, 22 to 30 °C. How it feels also depends on the wind, how long you spend in the water and how much you feel the cold.

How do I get the size right?

Go by the height and weight in the chart. It's not a good idea to buy it several sizes too big so it lasts longer: water would get in and it would be much less warm.
