What does UPF mean?
It's the fabric's ultraviolet protection factor: with UPF 50 or 50+, the fabric lets through less than one fiftieth of UV radiation. Even so, use sun cream on any exposed areas.
Which size should I choose?
A rash vest for the water should fit snugly, with no bagging, so it doesn't balloon or chafe when paddling. Use the chart above; if you're between two sizes and want it for everyday wear, choose the larger one.
Can it be worn under a wetsuit?
Yes, a snug rash vest under a wetsuit prevents chafing on the neck and underarms. If it's a thicker fabric or a hybrid-use top, check it against your wetsuit size first.
