F-ONE Safety Leash

F-ONE kite safety leash, designed to give maximum safety without getting in the way: it doesn't interfere with your movements and gives you peace of mind throughout your session. It is the second safety system: once the main quick release has been activated, it keeps you attached to the kite via the safety line, and releasing it disconnects you completely.

• ISO-certified quick release: the release system complies with ISO 21853:2020 and has passed the cold and wet test, so it is also suitable for snowkiting.
• Ergonomic handle: its new shape and optimised geometry ensure an immediate release at the first attempt.
• Red colour: improves visibility and safety in any situation.
• Rope loop (pigtail) instead of a stainless steel hook: lighter and stronger, and it reduces the risk of hand injuries when doing handle passes.

Compatibility

• F-ONE bars: the ATOM Bar and the ATOM Bar SK99 are supplied without a leash. On the short and medium leashes, the snap shackle clips to the buckle on the life line ring. On the long one, the pigtail goes to the small buckle on the ring and the leash attaches to the pigtail's ball with a lark's head knot.
• Compatible with most harnesses on the market.

Frequently asked questions

Where does it attach to the harness?

F-ONE recommends attaching it at the front of the harness, on the ring provided for it. That way, if you activate the quick release, the leash stays within reach in front of you.

What rider weight is it tested for?

Mechanical tests are carried out with a maximum user weight of 120 kg. F-ONE considers it reasonable not to use the kite and its safety systems below 35 kg.

What maintenance does it need?

Operate the quick release before and after every session and rinse it with fresh water while operating it, to flush out the sand. If you have any doubts about its condition, replace it.
