It's the solution when the original bladder is losing air and patching it again is no longer worth it.

Check the condition of the valve and of any previous patch, because many leaks come from there. Clear the sand from inside the sleeve, lay the bladder out without any twists and give it a gentle first inflation so it settles into place before you bring it up to riding pressure.
