Description
As stable as a bigger board, as radical as a smaller one
The Grip is Duotone's tri-fin wave board, focused on European waves and swell up to logo high. Its new shape concept, with Synced Curves designed using the in-house AI_Board_3D software, makes it as stable and energy-saving as a board 5 litres bigger, and as radical on the wave as one 5 litres smaller. This version is made in Full Custom SLS, built like a true custom board, with a tri fin set and three footstraps.
5 volumes from 77 to 107 l · Sail up to 6.2 m² · Windsurf board
Who it's for
- Wave riders in European conditions, from Pozo to swell.
- Anyone who wants an easy, low-effort wave board.
- Lighter riders looking to turn with less pressure.
What makes it special
01 Full Custom SLS technology
Built like a true custom board.
02 Unrivalled range
As stable and energy-saving as a board 5 litres bigger, and as radical on the wave as one 5 litres smaller.
03 AI_Board_3D
In-house 3D design software, more precise and faster; without it the Synced Curves concept would have been impossible.
04 In-house board production
All are CNC-shaped in Duotone's exclusive factory: better weight-to-strength ratio, quality and precision.
05 World Cup wave design
Designed for everyone, with a focus on European waves and swell up to logo high.
06 In-house fin production
Three different technologies depending on the length and use of each fin.
Where it shines: European waves, offshore and side-shore wind, and swell up to logo high.

“In European conditions I prefer the Grip (Tri) to any quad or even a custom board. The range is incredible: at my 76 kg, the 84 is my board from floaty conditions on the 5.3 to full-on Pozo on the 4.0. On the wave it turns like a board 5 litres smaller.”

Frequently asked questions
Which volume should I choose?+
Duotone doesn't publish a rider weight range for this model: go by your weight, your level and the wind you usually get. If you're torn between two sizes, write to us with your weight, your level and your spot.
Tri or quad?+
The Grip (Tri) focuses on European waves and swell; the Ultra Grip (Quad) gives more grip and turning in swell and windy waves, but Duotone doesn't recommend it for offshore wind.
