Who it's for
- Advanced riders who surf waves with size and power.
- Anyone looking for maximum control and feel when the waves get bigger.
- Riders who want a versatile board for a wide range of wave conditions.
- Riders from 45 kg to over 80 kg, in three sizes.
What makes it special
01 High-performance all-round
Balanced performance in a wide variety of conditions, combining speed, control and flow with an advanced shape and D/LAB construction.
02 Stable speed
The lean rocker accelerates quickly and maintains directional stability: the board stays lively but predictable on the drop.
03 Drive and control in turns
The round tail provides hold and forward drive for smooth rail-to-rail transitions and controlled turns in powerful waves.
04 Stable in chop
Innegra reinforcement improves damping and durability: less vibration and more control in rough water.
05 Comfort and connection
The RMF Shock Absorber 3.0 absorbs impacts and smooths out vibrations so you feel connected in every section.
06 Ultra-fast response
The light D/LAB carbon construction increases stiffness and sensitivity: instant feedback and maximum control underfoot.
Where it shines: pop for strapless freestyle, early planing and stability for freeride, quick turns and speed generation in medium waves, drive and control in big waves.
Sizes and recommended weight
| SIZE | VOLUME | RIDER WEIGHT | FINS | BOARD WEIGHT* |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5'3" × 17 3/4" × 2 1/8" | 20.77 L | 45 – 70 kg | TS-M | 2.48 kg |
| 5'6" × 18 1/4" × 2 5/16" | 24.14 L | 55 – 75 kg | TS-M | 2.78 kg |
| 5'9" × 18 3/4" × 2 1/2" | 27.83 L | Over 80 kg | TS-M | 3.01 kg |
*Weight tolerance ±6% according to Duotone. The 5'3" and 5'6" overlap between 55 and 70 kg: the 5'6" (24.14 L) gives more volume and planing, and the 5'3" (20.77 L) is more agile. The official chart assigns no size between 75 and 80 kg; in that range, the 5'9" is the one with the most volume. Check the selector for sizes available in store.

“The Blur D/LAB gives you total confidence in any wave: it's fast, smooth and lets you push every turn with precision and control, especially when it gets huge.”
Technology and construction
- D/LAB construction: the best materials and construction methods, with no limits; the advanced carbon construction improves agility and response for precise manoeuvres.
- Innegra D/LAB Surfboards: Innegra reinforcement in critical areas, especially the rails, which increases impact resistance while staying light.
- RMF 3.0 Shock Absorber: lighter Reflex Memory Foam without losing strength and with memory: the foam recovers from heel dents over time and damps high-frequency vibrations.
- Responsive Flex: bamboo and composite layers for dynamic flex and torsional response.
- Grab Rails: make freestyle grabs easier, increase durability and give comfortable control while riding.
- Multibox: Futures-compatible boxes, with side screws and no rear tab; precise, easy mounting even with sand or salt. TS-M fins.
Which one to choose?
- Blur SLS: same shape and sizes with SLS Innegra construction and Cork Shock Absorber 2.0. Slightly heavier (2.85 to 3.21 kg) and more affordable.
- Volt D/LAB: the D/LAB for small, mushy waves, with sizes from 4'11" to 5'3" and low entry rocker.
- Whip D/LAB: the D/LAB for small to medium waves and strapless freestyle, with a hip-squash tail and tighter turns.
Pair it with: the Traction Pad Front (Duotone's front pad for surfboards) and the Single Surf bag to protect the rails in transport.
Frequently asked questions
What size Blur D/LAB do I need?+
According to the official chart: 5'3" for 45 to 70 kg, 5'6" for 55 to 75 kg and 5'9" for over 80 kg. Between 55 and 70 kg both the 5'3" and the 5'6" fit; between 75 and 80 kg there is no assigned size and the 5'9" is the one with the most volume.
What is the difference between the SLS and D/LAB versions?+
SLS and D/LAB share the same shape, volumes and weight ranges. The SLS uses Innegra instead of fibreglass, Innegra Shield and Cork Shock Absorber 2.0; the D/LAB adds carbon construction, Innegra reinforcement in the rails and RMF 3.0 with memory, and weighs less in every size. The SLS is the more affordable option.
What waves is it designed for?+
For medium to big waves, although Duotone describes it as an all-rounder from small to overhead waves.
Is it for beginners?+
That is not its focus: it is a premium high-performance board designed for demanding wave riders.
Which fins does it use?+
The official chart lists the TS-M set in all sizes. The Multibox boxes are Futures-compatible, so they also take composite or aftermarket Futures fins.
